Such a kind and caring collection of people! It wasn’t great circumstances that brought us to see them, but they’ve all worked together to make my family feel exceptionally well cared for. Dr. Freeman is great! Katherine in oncology is great! And everyone I’ve talked to on the phone has been really warm and kind, whether it’s working with my schedule or helping me get questions answered. If your vet has given you a list of referrals for specialty care, put VCSS at the top.

I can’t say enough kind and positive words about this office. Absolutely every staff member here is so compassionate, understanding, and all-around amazing.

I came here with my dog back in March for suspected osteosarcoma, and the staff had an immediate sense of urgency to start treatment. We had various tests done over two days, and the following week her leg was amputated, and chemo started 2 weeks later. They are incredibly transparent about treatment options, costs, and timelines. I was updated and kept in the loop every step of the way through my dogs treatment, and yesterday she finished chemo! My girl was truly in the best hands possible here.

Very nice, very friendly people. The doctor was very thorough and explained everything to me, and he even had like a prop and showed me how things work and how the surgery would go, and I came out with no questions. He explained everything very thoroughly where I can understand it. And I even parked in the back of the building in the shade and the doctor and the nurse both came outside in the shade to talk to me in person instead of calling me on the phone and trying to explain things over the phone.

Hey Dr. Freeman and all you wonderful hoomans at VC&SS, I luv ya!! I don’t mind saying lymphoma and all those chemo treatments weren’t exactly a walk in a dog park or a hooman park, but you guys took great care of me. Mom and Dad appreciate you too. They say you’re dog-gone good at what you do! Your pal, Mick.

Worth the cost. High-quality care and very talented staff. Doctors and staff take the time to answer every single question you have for them. Extremely patient. They advise you of all the options available for your pet’s care without pushing the high-cost options. They show true love for your pets while they are in their care.

Our cat had to have major surgery to remove a very invasive tumor and ended up having to have his entire leg amputated. It was expensive, but the entire process was smooth, and the whole team was phenomenal. He healed up great and is currently living his best life more than a year later, where he wouldn’t have had a chance to still be here if we’d left it alone — highly recommended!

Our Mini Aussie has gotten two knee surgeries here, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! His recovery was seamless, and we had a ton of support from the amazing workers here! They were extremely responsive and helpful! They always answered any questions we had and were available 24/7 during the recovery process if anything came up. Jordan was especially great! She made me feel so comfortable bringing my dog in during such a crazy time. I always knew he was being taken care of! If your dog needs anything that can be provided by them, I 100% recommend!!!

My dog had surgery, and they took amazing care of him. Even during recovery, I feel like they are there for us if we need them. Great place!!

Staff are great and comforting during a difficult time. They take the time to explain and re-explain things when you are in information overload. You can tell they truly care.
